Smart Phone HTC One X VS Apple iPhone 4S

HTC Smart  Mobilephone
HTC One X is a powerful smart phone, specifically built for entertainment. It will be the newest member in the smart phone family. It is equipped with a quad core processor, powerful camera, audio system and many more. Comparing HTC One X with the revolutionary and popular Apple iPhone 4S will give you a clear picture where HTC One X will stand in the smart phone competition.

HTC One X has a larger touch screen (4.7 inch) with 1280x720 resolutions. Apple is yet to release 4 inch screen. There were many rumours that Apple is going to release edge to edge 4 inch screen. However, it has the crystal clear retina display with 960x640 resolutions. One X is slightly larger but lighter phone comparing to the iPhone 4S. HTC one X dimensions are 134.36 x 69.9 x 8.9 mm, but it only weight 130 grams. Apple iPhone 4S dimensions are 115.2 x 58.6 x 9.3 mm and it weight 140 grams. HTC One X is slightly larger but lighter phone.

Let us have a look at the processing power of the two phones. HTC One X has a 4 core 1.5 GHz processor. It has only 32GB option with 1 GB RAM and running the Android 4.0 ice cream sandwich mobile operating system. Apple iPhone 4S is powered by dual core A5 1GHz processor. It comes with the 16GB 32GB and 64GB storage options.

The iPhone has 8 MP rare camera for clear images and a VGA camera for Facetime and video chats. One X also has 8MP rare camera which also capable of 1080p HD video recording and a 1.3 MP front camera with smart LED flash. Also, it has a dedicated chip only for imaging and facility to capture images while you record video.

No other smart phone able to beat the iPhone 4S battery life. Even though the standard and talk times are not released HTC one X has 1800 mAh battery. We need to wait till it releases the details to do a better comparison of the battery life.

HTC one X is a stylish comparatively large (larger screen), slim, powerful, light Android smart phone. You have the choice of selecting the back or white HTC one X phone just like iPhone 4S. If you ask to name one thing which is missing in HTC one, that would be the 4G connection. I personally think all the new smart phones should be 4G as it need to survive at least one year. Comparatively it seems like HTC One X is better than the iPhone 4S. However, next iPhone release will be the real competition for HTC One X.

LG Optimus T and Optimus S

LG OPTIMUS T MOBILE PHONE
After years of hard work and delay, Microsoft has eventually succeeded to step up to the plate and has provided with a completely new Smartphone operating system which is Windows Phone 7. The LG Optimus T, Optimus S, presently being offered by Telus only in Canada and by some other multiple carriers that too only in Europe, is announced to be one of the initial batches of WP7 Smartphones.

Looking at LG Optimus T and Optimus S, we find it really amusing with features like a 3.8-inch capacitive touch screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, and a HD capable 5 megapixels camera into an elegant and a solid constructed phone. Something which most of the people appreciate is that it seems quite capable of holding onto weak signal; more over it contains hardware buttons on its front which are easier to use.

LG Optimus T and Optimus S till now has released only two models as E900 and 7Q C900. These LG E900 and 7Q C900 run on Windows Phone 7 operating system. LG E900 Optimus T and Optimus S has a 3.8-inch touch screen with a 5 mega-pixel camera, 16 GB internal memory, 512 MB RAM, 512 MB ROM, Bluetooth 2.1, USB 2.0, stereo FM radio, Li-Ion 1500 mAh battery, Wi-Fi, HSDPA, HSUPA and GPS LG E900 Optimus T and Optimus S runs on Windows Phone 7 operating system. The company has not revealed the other information, so far.

When examined from the side it looks like a barely perceptible trapezoid shape, which is mainly due to the top and bottom of the handset which slopes off the front to the back very gently. Along with the protruding, the Windows key is easily identifiable which makes it pretty easy to recognize which end of the phone you're grappling with while it's in your pocket or in the dark.

Now coming towards the thing on which we will pick up on with the Optimus T and Optimus S is its browser rendering which suffers only when the page is zoomed out. When we zoom in the Anti-aliasing kicks are very nice but as soon as we view the page in its full size, details start to generate with jaggy lines. Passing sarcastic remarks regarding its perfection would be rather unfair because the smoothness of the phone speaks for itself.

Sony Ericsson W8 Mobile Phone

Sony Ericsson W8 Mobile Phone
If you take a look at the Sony Ericsson W8, it may not have the "WOW" factor just like XPERIA handsets such as the Play and Arc. The Play is the only PlayStation-certified smartphone in the market and across platforms. This is due to its console-like controls. The Arc is not only a powerful Android handset. It is one of the slimmest at 8.7mm. Furthermore, it is one of the few SE handsets that come with a 4.2 inch touch screen powered by Sony Mobile BRAVIA Engine. This result is your viewing pleasure on the phone's display much like the experience on the Japanese company's highly coveted HDTVs. Does the Walkman Phone have anything special to offer? Not only is the handset geared towards music, it is also geared towards your social network needs.

The Walkman Phone comes with a 3.0 inch TFT capacitive touch screen with a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels. It is powered by a 600 MHz ARM 11 processor Qualcomm MSM7227 chipset with Adreno 200 GPU integration. It has a 3.15 MP camera with geotagging. Lastly, it runs on the Android OS version 2.1 Éclair. There is no indication from SE if software updates will be available. By today's standards, this is not at all impressive even for a low-end handset. However, its unique features does not require too much from hardware. Furthermore, you do not need an up to date operating systems to enjoy the features it has to offer.

The Sony Ericsson W8 was built around music. In fact, most of its features are based on music. First of all, the handset comes with the Walkman Player. This player allows users to create playlists. It also allows users to sort tracks according to artist or album. Secondly, the phone comes with a unique feature called TrackID music recognition. This feature allows users to record a few seconds of a track. In a few seconds, information about that particular track is sent to the phone. The smartphone gives you access to PlayNow. Here, they can download a number of games and music from Sony's vast library. Lastly, the phone can be equipped with Bluetooth stereo headsets for better sound quality.

Aside from its prowess in music, the Sony Ericsson W8 keeps you connected. It comes with Twitter-Timescape integration. This will allow you to tweet to your heart's content. It also comes with a Facebook application that allows you to keep in touch with friends and family.

As you can see, powerful hardware and updated software are not the only features needed to make your mobile experience more worthwhile. The Sony Ericsson W8 has what it takes to cater to your music and social network needs.

The Samsung Galaxy R - How Does It Differ From The Galaxy S2

Samsung Galaxy R Mobile Phone
The Samsung Galaxy R offers a similar experience to the popular Galaxy S2, but at a more mid-range standpoint in the market. With its similar styling and impressive touchscreen, much about the two appears the same on the surface.

In this article I will take a closer look at its key features, and decide whether it makes for a viable alternative to the Galaxy S2.

The Galaxy S2 is known for its impressive touchscreen, and the Samsung Galaxy R follows in its footsteps. Although it has a lower resolution (480x 800), the SC-LCD capacitive touchscreen does a great job of image display, and also offers a highly responsive means of navigating the TouchWiz UI.

Storage wise, the Samsung Galaxy R is up to the task with 8 GB of on board storage, along with the added bonus of a micro SD slot. This can accommodate a memory card of up to 32 GB, so whatever you like to use your phone for, you should be covered in this department.

Internet browsing is another strength of this device. Utilising both HSDPA and Wi-Fi, users can connect whether they have wireless network connection or 3G coverage. The full HTML browser supports flash, allowing users to take advantage of embedded flash content in websites such as games, videos and graphics.

As a camera phone, the Samsung Galaxy R is a capable device. With a 5 megapixel unit (2592x 1944 pixel resolution), which may be a bit behind the seemingly standard 8 megapixels found on most new smartphones (including the Galaxy S2) but it is able to take good quality photos. Also, it can shoot HD video footage in 720p quality. Again, most new smartphones allow 1080p video capture, but unless you are a technology enthusiast, you are sure to be pleased with the results. The camera comes with an LED flash, autofocus, smile detection and video calling (via a front facing camera), so there are plenty of options to play around with, most of which can be set to automatic so it is easy to take great looking pictures.

The Android OS makes an appearance here, as it does on the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S2 and Galaxy Note, in its latest incarnation, known as Gingerbread (version 2.3). Alongside its dual-core 1 GHz processor, there are plenty of customisable features, with the power under the hood to run demanding applications and multitask efficiently.

Being an Android handset, there are countless applications and features included as standard, and of course users can download additional apps from the Android Market, much like the famous Apple AppStore.
